So the NHL is supposedly moving to a new system of determining tiebreakers in season standings...Shootout wins will no longer count toward the number of wins tallied for the tiebreak.  How does everyone feel about this?

Less reliance or importance given to shootouts is a good thing. I am one of those that can never be a fan of shootouts, I just can't.

I agree that they shouldn't be used to help calculate a tiebreak...but during the last game of the regular season this past year, the Flyers fan part of me was thankful for the shootout! lol

lol, except that (or few other) instances it should be scrapped totally, never mind it being used for tie breakers

lol, yes - and I'm sure all the people out there who DIDN'T want to see the Flyers advance to the playoffs this year would disagree with me....and were probably cursing a blue streak at shootout wins that day!
